Twitter Nabs a Google Lawyer
Mashable reports that Twitter hired a General Counsel (Alexander Macgillivray). Finally. (Well . . truth be told, the New York Times actually reported the news, but who is counting?)
Seriously, congrats Mr. Macgillivray! You should have your hands full with some exciting and interesting legal issues.
No word yet on whether or not Mr. Macgillivray will be tweeting, or whether the hire will mean more work for WSGR, where he was an associate (see his Berkman Center profile).
Added: you can follow him on Twitter @macgill. I wonder what his first order of business will be? Most likely dealing with hacks, security breaches, and spam?
