Delaware Supreme Court Justice in Hot Water Due to Racy Email Forward

A Delaware Supreme Court Justice is in hot water for sending a "racy" email to 38 of his "friends": "Top Justice Sent Racy Video to Colleagues".  You can view the video he forwarded at the (Delaware Online) link and come to your own conclusion as to whether the video is appropriate forwarding material.  For a State Supreme Court Justice.  From his work account.  Seriously, what was he thinking?  His reaction to the whole episode is priceless:  "in retrospect I never should forward any joke of any kind."

Here's a simple test.  If you are forwarding a mass forward-type email, ask yourself whether it's appropriate (or will be viewed as appropriate) if you sent the email to every single person on your contact list (and to every single person on their contact lists).  Chances are, your email will be forwarded on, and most people are not careful enough to eliminate the underlying email.  And if you are someone important (and your forward remotely borderline) your forward may just end up being published in the newspaper.

If you are going send something like this at least use your personal email account!
