Google UK Hit With Privacy Complaints

The Raw Feed:
Google Street View hit the UK this week, and now the company is being flooded with complaints about violation of privacy. Pictures -- a man barfing his guts out on the sidewalk, another emerging from a porn shop, another being arrested -- are being removed or blurred by Google as fast as the company can process the complaints.
Prof. Goldman has discussion of the Boring lawsuit - where a federal district court rejected a privacy-based challenged to Street View.

The complaints noted above seem slightly different from those in the US.  Not any more legally congizable - at least from the perspective of US law (although UK privacy laws are supposed to be stricter, and I am sure Google Street View will make some mods in the EU (if it has not already)).  It's just that I hadn't heard of complaints in the US about people who say they were caught on Street View puking or coming out of a sex shop.

On another note - I've never seen the "Google car" in person.  The above image is from Flickr (Roberto_Garcia) (CC license), and there are a slew of other ones uploaded on Flickr.

Maybe the Google Street View cars were just more brazen in the UK? - one more:
