Asis Files Amicus Brief in Gordon v. Virtumundo
I just saw that the lawyers for Asis Internet filed an amicus brief in Gordon v. Virtumundo (9th Cir. appeal). (I should say tried to file an amicus brief, since I'm pretty sure the deadlines are long past . . . but they have some arguments as to why the court should accept it anyway.)
You can access the brief here [pdf] [25 pages]. The Dec. 11 argument should be fun. I haven't read the brief, but its filing underscores the importance of this appeal to the numerous CAN-SPAM cases pending in the 9th Circuit. (The Washington AG's office also filed one earlier [pdf]. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't get in on the action. I guess they don't have much to lose here.)
Time permitting, I'll try to review and recap the briefs at some point later.
