Impulse Media
I would guess we hear something in the next day or two . . . (judging from the Pacer entry):
Third Day of Jury Trial held on 3/21/2008. The testimony of
Allyson Himelfarb resumes and concludes. The government rests.
Defendants witness Seth Schermerhorn is sworn and testifies. The
defendant rests. The jury is excused until Monday, March 24, 2008 at
9:00 a.m. Defendant moves to strike the test of Allyson Himelfarb and
moves to dismiss. After hearing the arguments of counsel, the Court
denies the motions. The Court and counsel discuss jury instructions.
Court is adjourned until Monday, March 24, 2008 at 8:30 a.m.
Seems like a fairly short trial, all things considered . . . .More: Todd Bishop reports that a unanimous jury reached a verdict in Impulse Media's favor:
The jury in U.S. District Court in Seattle said Impulse Media Group
Inc. was not responsible for hundreds of unsolicited, sexually explicit
commercial e-mails sent by some of its affiliates to bring traffic to
its sites. During the trial, the company cited its policies against
spam, and said it terminated relationships with affiliates who broke
its rules.
Wow.
