Spam wars: MySpace v The Globe.com


"Social networking company gets $2.55 million in cash from The Globe.com."

MySpace claimed that Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based The Globe.com sent almost 400,000 unsolicited email messages to MySpace users from 95 or more dummy accounts. The lawsuit, filed last June, accused The Globe.com of violating the California Business and Professions Code and the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
